A substantial project completely Project Managed by Strongbuild. The name of this development was derived from its former life as an old, although partially derelict, Victorian tile factory.
Working with the developer to secure a complicated planning advantage, previously this was 5 small houses using part of the old buildings. Strongbuild oversaw the total demolition and clearance of the entire site.
Starting afresh from a tricky site with various level step changes, the team at 3W Architecture worked to produce 14 large, two bedroom flats in two separate blocks. Massive engineered glass roof sections and full height glazed walls to the rear elevations of each floor, required precision. Minimal tolerances were achieved by all our site operatives as the whole development was completed around a massive steel and timber frame, from which all floors, walls and ceilings hung.
The end result was an award winning residential development that was one the first of its type in this part of South Bristol.
